Who doesn’t love a good homemade pizza? This pizza dough recipe is a sure fire way to impress your friends and family of all ages!
This recipe will make three pizzas, or alternatively you could make two pizzas and then with the remaining dough, you could make some garlic dough balls.
For those of you that don’t want to go into a carb coma then place in the freezer for your future self. It lasts up to one month, and all you need to do is to defrost and it is ready to use.
Ingredients
500 grams 00 or plain flour
275 ml tepid water
1 sachet dry yeast
1 tbsp salt
Method
- Sieve the flour into a mixing bowl with the salt and mix so it is evenly disputed.
- In a measuring jug, add the tepid water (do not use hot water as it will kill the yeast) and stir in the yeast and leave for 5 mins.
- Tip the water mixture into the flour and start mixing with your hands until the flour and yeast are incorporated well into a dough ball.
- Take it out of the bowl and start to knead for at least 10 minutes (if the dough seems too wet add more flour).
- Pop it back inside the bowl, cover it with a damp cloth and place it somewhere dark for one hour to prove.
- Knock it back (by punching it), then divide it into three, and there you have it three pizza bases.
